you’re in: welcome to inclusivEmergen+

This blog is aimed at discussing issues of “Inclusion”, by which we mean a wide variety of things. It is our theology, our philosophy, our deeply held myths, our emotional makeup and our experience that will determine just how inclusive or exclusive we are. All of us “draw a line” somewhere, implying excluding something, some people, some behavior, the question is, where? Why exclude anything or anyone. Or perhaps, why include them?

We hope to wrestle with these things together, to participate in groupreads and syncroblogs, and discuss, disagree and deepen.

Welcome to inclusivEmergen+.

  1. Thank you for inviting me to this discussion.

My question is less about the line, but what now – How do I go forward, as an Evangelical/Pentecostal/Seeker Sensitive/Emergent* if the line has been erased.

    * Vrek, ek weet nie meer wat ek is nie!

Eugene this is a great question.
I think when you make the journey away from the frame of reference of modernity with its absolutes it appears that the line is erased. But it’s just that its drawn in a different way, and it takes time to relearn.

Also, one new truth coming into view is Inclusion, so its not a matter of morals being relativised or eliminated, but relearning the moral questions in the light of this truth.
